The delight we take in convincing young children of the magic all around us from Santaclaus to fairies is a delight based on the knowledge that it just isn't true. Life has taught us what the real world is all about and to survive we need both feet on the ground.
So we dream at nights, read the odd good book and then go back to the real world.
I believe we need to dream, need to remember the magic of our childhood. If only so that we can be a little better as adults.
